Virginia Tech vs. Florida State: In the inaugural ACC Championship Game, the 22nd-ranked Seminoles upset the 5th-ranked Hokies, 27-22. It's FSU's 11th ACC football title. The game was tied 3-3 at halftime, and Florida State scored 24 straight points in the third quarter. Virginia Tech then scored 19 straight to close the FSU lead to five with 1:45 left in the game. Wide receiver Willie Reid caught five passes for 79 yards and had an 83-yard punt return for a touchdown at the start of the third quarter to earn him the game's MVP award. FSU quarterback Drew Weatherford completed 21 or 35 passes for 225 yards and a touchdown. For Virginia Tech, Marcus Vick was 26-52 for 335 yards and a touchdown, plus two rushing TDs. receiver Josh Morgan caught seven passes for 128 yards and a score.
