Ohio State’s five-star defensive commit is set to take an official visit to another big time college program

Ohio State may be a bit worried when it comes to keeping one of the big fish in their 2025 recruiting class.

It has been known that 2025 CB commit Na’eem Offord would take other visits, but the Oregon Ducks seem to have more than just ground-level interest from Offord.

Offord, the No. 2 cornerback in the country, visited Oregon this past weekend. According to On3, Offord will be taking an official visit back to Oregon in the future.

Offord committed to Ohio State back in February with other premier programs pushing hard for him. When Offord made his commitment to the Buckeyes, he loved the fit that he had in Columbus.

"Just felt like they were the best fit for me to come in and compete with the best of the best getting developed by a coach who has been around the game for a long time," he said to On3's Hayes Fawcett.

Offord will take his official visit to Ohio State on June 21 and Oregon is the only other school that is known that he will be visiting.

Oregon is going to be a recruiting force in the Big 10. It is more than the Nike money that they have, it is what Dan Lanning is building, one of the best up-and-coming coaches in college football.

The Buckeyes are surely in constant contact with Offord, who remains committed to Ohio State. Since he committed before his senior season, Offord appears to want to at least look at what else is out there and to make sure that he made the right decision.

Ohio State has the No. 1 cornerback in the class Devin Sanchez committed as well, so keeping both would be as elite of a haul you can get in a class. As of right now, that is the only two cornerbacks that the Buckeyes have committed in 2025.

For Oregon, they have to feel good about Offord using one of his official visits back to Eugene. The Buckeyes on the other hand may be a bit nervous that Offord could be slipping out of their hold. Singing day is a ways away and anything could happen between now and then. That did the new era of college football.
